New Mega Level: Super Max!

Starting with the Mega Squads event, Mega Beedrill and Mega Houndoom can increase their Mega Level to Super Max for the first time in Pokémon GO!

Pokémon eligible to unlock Super Max Level can learn an additional Charged Attack while Mega Evolved. You must increase a Pokémon’s Mega Level to the third level, Max, before increasing it to Super Max.

Mega Evolving alone will not be enough to reach Super Max—you’ll also need to use that Pokémon’s Mega Energy to power it up. Participate in Mega Raids and catch Weedle, Pidgey, Houndour, and Carvanha during the event to earn Mega Energy.

GO Pass

GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe

A GO Pass is a free, limited-time progression track available during a specified period. By collecting GO Points, you can increase your rank to earn rewards.

Trainers will automatically receive GO Pass: Mega Squads on Tuesday, September 8, at 10:00 a.m. local time. You can collect GO Points and rank up to get additional rewards through Monday, September 14, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

For US$4.99*, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe, a paid version of the GO Pass that offers upgraded rewards and faster progression.

For US$6.99*, Trainers can upgrade to the GO Pass Deluxe + 6 Ranks to also automatically earn enough GO Points to reach Rank 7.

While progressing through the GO Pass Deluxe, you’ll be able to claim all rewards from both the free GO Pass and GO Pass Deluxe. You can upgrade to a GO Pass Deluxe at any time and still collect rewards from previously unlocked ranks.

Rewards unlocked in the GO Pass will expire on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. local time, so be sure to claim your rewards before they’re gone!

How to Earn Points

In addition to Pass Tasks, you can earn up to 500 extra GO Points daily from the following activities.

• Win a raid — 100 GO Points
• Hatch an Egg — 40 GO Points
• Catch a Pokémon — 5 GO Points

Daily Tasks

• Catch 5 Weedle — 50 GO Points total
• Catch 5 Flamigo — 50 GO Points total

Each set includes milestones for catching 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of that Pokémon, awarding 10 GO Points per milestone.

GO Pass Rewards

Each rank requires 100 GO Points. Complete Rank 30 to unlock bonus ranks, with additional rewards through Rank 60.
